I use Photoshop CS3 and the latest version of ACR 4.6 (I think) for this software. Unfortuanatelt it doesn't support my 550D CR2 files. Not a problem as I use DNG converter to change the files and I am quite happy doing this although it takes a bit of time. However, I have just bought a second hand copy of Lightroom 2.7 with updates and this does read my CR2 files. Now here's the question. Is there anyway that I can get PS CS3 and Bridge to use the ACR engine from Lightroom to process the CR2 files? If not I'll just continue to convert to DNG.

I use LR3 from there having made adjustments to any image in LR3 I can by using "ctrl & e" open the image in CS or PSE either with or without the LR adjustments. Have a look at Adobe TV, there are a number of tutorials available to watch IHTH
