    DPP in tablet form?

My laptop seems to be aging at similar rate to me and am wondering about replacing with an iPad/Samsung Galaxy/some other form of tablet thing. Like DPP and use it a lot. Usually one downloads from a CD on to your computer and then get any updates on line.
But, these tablet things don't have CD drives. Can you put DPP on them? Would it be any use anyway? Can you download from an EOS or from CF card on to them? Can I print directly from them or do you need a wi-fi connected printer? Would I be better off replacing with a newer lap-top if I wanted to view and process photos away from home and the security of the desk-top?
    Cheers, Chris.
    Just chuggin' along.

Chris, I have a 10" Android Tablet and I wouldn't like to try and edit with it. It's fine for browsing web pages and viewing images, but that's about it. Given the choice, I'd put money into a decent Laptop.

Tablets have low hard disk capacity relative to laptops. I can load RAW and jpegs from cards to my iPad , via a connector, for viewing/ sharing short term. Do not do editingbetc. suggest you get a new laptop, really. That said, the iPad makes a great photo viewer.
