For info, a new version of Dire's ShutterCount software for the Mac is available. It doesn't look like any functianility improvements have been implemented, but it does support three new bodies...

"Version 1.1 of ShutterCount, our Mac app that displays the number of shutter actuations (the shutter count) of your Canon EOS digital camera, adds support for the most requested cameras: Canon's EOS-1D Mark IV, EOS 50D and EOS 550D / Rebel T2i / Kiss X4."

Is there a windows equivalent?

There's no windoze equivalent of this software, but there are other utilities available of variable reliability. I've read reports of the free ones being in effect a random number generator, and others which cost so much per shutter-count. I have no actual experience of any PC software though.
