    Simple software for cropping jpeg images

    Any recommendations

    I have used the free Paint software on the PC but you can't crop while maintaining the 6x4 aspect ratio for example which I something that I want to be able to do

      Maybe Infraview? Opens RAW images as well if you down load all the plugins.

      Will also do borders and simple contrast and colour adjustments.

      But also use GIMP and cannot complain about it. Learn more about it each time I use it.

            DPP is that the free software that came with the cameras?
            I thought, probably wrongly, that is was for RAW only not jpeg

            Hoping now that I am wrong :)

                Get used to using DPP, this software it will save you a lot of time and effort (when cropping use the 3:2 aspect ratio for Landscape and 2:3 for Portrait)

                    Yep should be on the disc. On the canon website there is a download which will enable you to get the latest version but you must have the original disk for it to work. Previously you could just download it.

                      Sorry for late reply
                      You should have a disk that came with the camera its called "Solution Disk" this has all the software that goes with the camera.
                      If you get stuck or unsure how to use this software, there are plenty of tutorials on the web or again just ask the question on this forum (doesn't matter how silly it may seem)and I'm sure members will guide you in the right direction.
