    LR4 Adjistment brush problem

    Hi All,

I use LR4.4, and, last night I noticed a weird thing while using the adjustment brush. I can no longer choose to switch on the Mask Overlay option from the dashboard. There are no options below the image at all. Have I switched something off in the options? I have searched through the menus but can't see any way to switch it back on.
    Any advice appreciated thanks,

    Garry

EDIT: I have just noticed that there is no "DONE" tab at the bottom right of any of the adjustment options. I just did a crop on an image, and went to click "DONE", and it was gone

Gary I think you may have turned it off the short cut key is "O" it is possible to turn the mask overlay off by pressing the O key.

Thanks Peter. I found the shortcut through the menus. The thing is, there are actual tabs missing from below the image pane, where it usually has the selection on/off box on the left, and the "Done" tab on the right

You've hidden the toolbar. Just press T to bring it back.

Gary it's difficult sometimes to put in to words so here's two images which may help. (Don't look at how under exposed the engine image is )
Image #1 shows the adjustment pane expanded, is this showing the buttons you have lost?
Image #2 shows the adjustment pane collapsed, is this what you have, if so the pane is expanded by clicking the little triangular pointer which is to the right of effect & custom at the top of the pane. I hope this helps.

I feel like that on a daily basis since I took up this as a hobby :)

The camera often beats me but I rarely let computers beat me :)

As Lee advised the "T" toggles the Mask toolbar on/off

Having gone back to LR4 for this ( I use LR5 now) I really should do something with that engine image

Thanks Peter for your effort and time. It is appreciated. It is the "T" that I was looking for! Nice engine BTW!

It used to live in Scotland, well the cars first owner was from there, you may just be able to make the car out in the LR film strip. BTW It's not the green one
