at last , DPP 3.8 has angle adjustment built into the trimmimg tool.

also an adjustable grid

been on my wish list for years.

Finally I don't need to exit DPP just to straighten an image :)

Another useful feature is that there's a centre mark in the grid.

Although the link takes you to a page for the 40D (my camera), the upgrade works for all cameras, just select your Operating System (OS), and scroll down to the upgrade for for DPP (3.8.0).
