Lightroom 5.7

Lightroom has just updated to 5.7 and for those 7DmkII users you can now edit away

For the rest of us, some bug fixes and new lens profiles ( wonder if that includes 100-400 ) and built-in plug-in for importing iPhoto and Aperture libraries, plus some other bits

I just updated my Laptop from 5.2 to 5.6 last night now I'll have to do it all over again

Updating now....just watching for the model and serial number to change now on the camera....hmmm perhaps I have to chisel away these two zeros....

damn it now looks like a 7 i i D on there.... not a 7Dii

This may be an extremely stupid question but does anyone know and care to share the reason why when Adobe do an update to Photoshop or most of their range, I can just click on the Update button, yet whenever they update Lightroom I have to click Install and go through installing it...

I wonder if it is because LR has a DAM database associated with it which contains all of your images and any develop changes that you have created. Therefore the upgrade has to preserve the Database during the install process. BTW I could be wrong [emoji40]

Peter - I did wonder if it had something to do with the database side of things so it sounds feasible.
