    Back Ups - LR

I often backup my LR backups to other drives, backing up images / catalogue ircat files, but I was looking at the BU's LR does and was wondering if theres any reason to hold the old catalogue ircat files ? Surely these can be deleted ? I've got folders going back 2 yrs and I'm assuming when LR does its own back up its a full one so you don't need to keep previous back ups ??

I've looked at the file size on mine and its already 42gb so not small

    Re: Back Ups - LR

I would delete all but the latest (latest depending on when LR runs the back up,daily on exit, weekly)
I run the LR back up once a week but if I was a pro it would be every day.
The latest LR versions zip the BU files, earlier versions didn't. Thanks for the reminder Ian I must delete some of my LR BU files

I was looking for info on moving files within LR, and found a video by Jullienne Kost. She recommends keeping a maximum of your last ten backups as part of your overall backup regime. No need for keeping any more.
