I normally import directly from the camera into Lightroom. Today I needed to take some shots on my 550D and tried to load them as normal. Lightroom declared "No Images to Import".
They're there. I can import them in DPP, I can see them in a card reader, and even import them into Lightroom from the card reader or a folder into which they've been loaded via DPP.
I tried reformatting the card. Didn't solve the problem. I then switched to JPEG (I normally shoot RAW). Lightroom was quite happy to import the images as JPEGs.
My conclusion is that Lightroom has stopped supporting old versions of Canon RAW, although I last uploaded from the 550D on April 20th 2016 and I don't recall any updates to Lightroom since then.
Obviously I can work around the issue, but I'm reluctant to change an established workflow.
Any thoughts anyone?
