Canon Image Browser and Mac Problem

I have just bought my first Mac, loving it so far apart from the file copying/moving thing!

On another note, I am having difficulty with working with files on Image Browser via an external drive, (thought IB might be the solution to moving images between the drive and the Mac) but every shot is locked and I cant see how to unlock them.

Anyone able to "give me the key"??

In your case, i would try to see if thhe administration privileges for the external disk are read/write for your username.
Might also be an issue that the browser gets access on a protected memory card i.e. locked SD.

Did you try to see if your images are locked when imported on mac ?

Firstly i would try to transfer/move the files using camera window. This way you copy them on the mac.
Then use image browser to edit/ sort them etc

I personaly use PhotoMechanic on mac- the fastest s/w to do such sorting/ previews to my opinion.
Also occasionaly i use Image Ingester to import images from memory cards with tags etc.
