The title of this Challenge is Motion. We all know it can be difficult to convey motion in a single static image, but I'm interested in seeing the variety of ways that you do so, whether the motion is that of the subject, the photographer or in-camera. Or something else. Please be as creative as you like in your interpretation.
I will judge entries based on interpretation of the theme, technical merit and simply whether I liked it. As ever I will give friendly, honest and constructive comments but I am not a judge, just an enthusiastic amateur with my own opinions.
If you've not entered before, please please please do so. It is just a bit of fun, no-one gets hurt, but lots of entries makes it so much more interesting all round, and in turn encourages others to enter.
Please abide by the general rules:
The competition subject shall be selected by the winner of the preceding competition who will also judge the competition.
One picture per person; images should conform to general image posting rules.
Please use an EOS Canon camera - DSLR or M series.
Posted images should be taken during the running period of the competition. Any images submitted that were taken before the competition started, or after the competition has ended, will be deemed invalid.
Images 800 pixels widest max (to help those with small monitors).
No Photoshop frames and borders.
Include a title; the image must convey the theme without title description.
Please, NO comments on images- on this or another thread- until the round is over.
No canvassing e.g. Im thinking of posting this image for the challenge, what do you think?
I will pick 1st, 2nd and 3rd favourite images (please dont PM me to discuss my choices).
Closing date for entries is midnight (UK time) Sunday 11 June, so you have 3 full weeks to consider, capture and process your masterpieces.
PS. I nearly called this Challenge 'Movement' but that had been used before, back in Challenge 69. Plus the word 'Motion' always makes me smile; as all Hitchhikers fans will know, whenever you drink a nice hot cup of tea you are sampling the delights of Brownian Motion.
