    Liverbird watching & wild Life cruisde with RSPB guides 15th August 2012

    Skuas,Peregrin falcons,Osprey,Atalantic grey seals are some of the encounters on offer!!! Booking is only on line and must be in advance. Adults £14, Children £7. A cruise for the whole family. The cruise covers the Mersey Estuary and then to the open Bay, and would last approx 3 hours. The meeting points are:-Seacombe 11am; Pier Head 11.10am & woodside 11.20am

    I have booked to go on this cruise & one or two other forum members are hoping to join.

      Thanks Colin. The boats used on these trips are generally large ones and so I don't expect much "rocking" leading to unsteady footing. The info re this trip was given to me by MX5 & Mickledore (Frank).

          Stephen, I quite understand as the distance itself will be a drawback. The one good thing about these trips is that you don't know what to expect and it is like "stalking" the "prey" till you catch it on camera.I personally enjoy these sort of trips compared to visits to Zoos & similar. Even Slimbridge is quite tame to these trips. Hope the weather keeps fine.

                Just thought I would let the good members know that my trip was a washout on account of the awful weather. Next time round,it is advisable to check the weather and then go down to the chosen pick up point and pay on the day. I was foolish booking his trip one month ahead.

                  Bad luck Nathaniel, always awkward booking things in advance although sometimes of course you have no other choice!!

                  I find often that if I don't make the effort and book and pay for things then when it comes to the date I can't be bothered to go!!!

                  Better Luck next time.
