The big London meet, 19 August - results pt 2 of 2

    This continues from part 1!

All shots taken handheld, with my 550D, 15-85 IS USM lens.

We stopped off at St Pancras station for a brief coffee stop (again!).

Spent some time trying to get this shot exactly as I wanted, both compositionally, and exposure-wise. It's Martin Jennings' sculpture of the poet John Betjeman - who was fundamental in saving the St Pancras site from re-development.

"Imprisoned in a cage of sound, Even the trivial seems profound".

"Here where the cliffs alone prevail, I stand exultant, neutral, free, And from the cushion of the gale, Behold a huge consoling sea"

Finally, when leaving the park, had a quick chat with this painter. He was rushing to finish, as he was going on holiday the next day! I said "Do you mind if I take a photo?", to which he replied, "I'd be disappointed if you didn't!" Nice chap!

All very nice Mike, #5 .. the painter; a great angle showing the artist, his painting and the subject of the painting
    Well captured.

All nice but the artist image is a great street portrait, really like the composition you chose.
