    Andy Rouse Flying Aces Workshop

I attended the Andy Rouse Flying Aces workshop at the old World War One Stow Maries Aerodrome in Essex yesterday, it was a lovely sunny day, there were a lot of aircraft came in and a few old biplanes and triplanes flew past but didn't land. In additionto the old planes there was modern stunt flying as well. This is a small sample of what we had on display. Any C&C welcome.

All top drawer in my opinion, if I had to drop one it would be the last one! The sepia toned are the real winners?

My god Ian, I rekon those sepia pics are the best you have ever posted (besides youre great macro stuff). I am, honestly, lost for words, they are absolutely f######g brilliant...just put some grain in#4 thats all. I cant find the adjectives to descibe how much I like these.

Money very well spent. An excellent set of images. 1 is really good and that prop! excellent. Really like 3 too, though I'd probably crop out the smallest plane on the right..... or dare I say.... move it to behind the second oof plane. I know picky, and it isn't there.. but compositionally I think would look better... However ignoring my 2d.. couldn't have done it my self, though would like to. A+ photos

                Ian, great set of shots.

You've created a great treatment with the sepia ones, and of those #1 is superb. The perspective puts you right there alongside him.

Next best for me is #5 as I love the feeling of height and loneliness in the shot... just a man (or woman), a plane, and quite some skill!

                Excellent. All the best, Mike.

Many thanks to all who have commented I am stunned with the responses.

Sandra I like the idea of moving the OOf 3rd plane in my shot the one posted is just as it came out of the camera with the obvious exception of the sepia treatment and a slight crop, the picture posted is about 85% of the full frame.

Beautiful sepia images. They only need the wrinkly edges.

In the old days of film and wet processing I used to get that effect by soaking a B&W print in a tray of tea for a number of hours
