Server error messages when trying to post

I keep getting this error message when trying to post a new topic that includes a url

    Service Temporarily Unavailable

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

But I can post a topic without a url!!!!

If I create a post without a url and post it then immediately edit it I can add the url.

    Anyone else having problems?

      Just testing.

For Canonites everywhere. To get more from your Canon EOS camera, you need EOS magazine. It's the only magazine that takes your photography as seriously as you.

The forum is set to allow up to six images to be included in a post - but a smilie counts as an image. Are you using one or more smilies in the text of the post?

Re: Server error messages when trying to post

I use Firefox and can only upload a maximum of 2 photos in a thread with no smilies or I get this error message. So I usually post one at a time and then edit and add a second save and so on until I get them all in. I don't embed my photos I link them to my own external website.

Re: Server error messages when trying to post

Robert I have tried to submit the same post as this morning using IE9, Firefox 3.6.27 and Safari and still get the same error message. I thought that it may have been due to multiple images being included (total of 5) so I tried a single image and had the same result. All these images originated from Flickr.

I have uploaded images in the past using the same method with no issues so will try an upload from Photobucket and 500px to try and identify where the problem sits.

Robert it must be me as I have now tried to upload different images from Flickr, Photobucket and 500px on three different browsers and 2 different PC using different OS's but still get the 503 server error.

I've tweaked a few forum settings relating to images. Let me know if this has helped.
