Robert, this might sound like a daft idea, but can you install another forum style/skin for us to try? I remember from my VB days, that new styles can be installed, without needing to add all the updates from the existing style. If we use the new 'unmodified' style without issues, that might help pinpoint the problem? Just a thought.

Having been blocked out since last week I have now managed to submit two posts with images using the Flickr BBCode, don't know what has changed but good nes for a change.

Good news from me too at the moment, have been able to post images both logging in normal as stan and also as stanm.

just tried that but made no difference

Maybe something completely different but i have just replied to a personal message and included a link to an old post on the forum and that was accepted OK

I managed two posts this morning, but the third failed. I was being greedy, but they were stacking up!

I found last night that I could post if I removed all "http://" garbage, but left the remainder of the URL. That gave me links to my Flickr pages. Then this morning, I was able to re-add the https:// on the actual image URL and hey presto it worked - for two posts...

You cannot believe the excitement when I got two up and running and the disappointment when the third failed!

Two steps forward and one back!

Just managed to get one image on a new post, saved it and then edit to add another and 503 was back

Still getting 503, and have been ALL week, really getting frustrating now. Clearing cache doesn't help, and even though I work in IT, I even tried turning my PC off and on again! No joy!

I can post text only, so maybe I should just describe the pictures I wanted to post? WDYT?

Ah you did make sure your computer was switched on (our own help desk's idea)

I know how frustrating these incidents are and how mind bogglingly complex they can be to get to the root cause. Especially when it only afflicts some of us. Robert has my professional sympathy.

Robert - does this forum run on a single (dedicated?) server or is it load shared across several? Is it located in the UK?

The forum is on a shared server - a dedicated server is too expensive for a service which generates no income. Our ISP is in Germany - I'm not sure where they have their servers.

Have just tried to post from Switzerland - o.k when posting one image alone, but failed with 3 at a time. So it can't be region sensitive!
