Avatars for this years challenge

Guys,

I did this last year but someone else like a crack at this?

The task is to design a picture suitable to be used as an avatar by the people coming in first, second and third place inthe end of year showcase?

I also did one for the top ten runners-up.

Happy to run this as a mini competition for all you keen photoshop owners ...

What are your thoughts?

Closing date say the midnight 22/12
You need to have checked they can work as an avatar before posting and have an avatar for 1st, 2nd and third place overall. And possibly one that can be used for the other top 10 the runners-up?

It needs to be your own work

Surely the runner up is the image that comes second and not the fourth.
Can I suggest 1st, 2nd & 3rd only ???

Okay. Had an idea. Not sure how I did it... but I got there in the long run.

I also managed to do a whirly thing.... (I wouldn't know how to do it again if I tried) but I can't get this any smaller my brain won't stretch to it. Or how to upload it and it still spin.

Gold Silver and Bronze, then Runners up.

The small ones are obviously what they look like resized to either the 80x80 pixels or the 19kb for avatar size. Does that make sense.

If anything they're an idea. I did some others and realised quickly, too much detail just dissappears when you resize to avatar size.

ah well, pleasant hour pasted. Have fun everyone.

Hi Stephen, I gave out runners up avatars last year so that everyone in the top ten had a 'badge of honour' if they wanted it. So not runner-up in the strictest sense but, and I feel more importantly, a way of promoting the showcase more widely.

Just in case you want them. Category winner.

Obviously the smaller one is resized to the 80x80 limit. You loose some details.
