Challenge 63 - Album Titles

ok, my idea for a challenge is album titles. Can be real or imaginary, but if imaginary, they must sound like real album titles!

Can be pretty much anything, colour, black and white, creative etc

Please give your photo a title, and include some basic exif data.

I will be keeping the judging simple with just a few comments on each entry and the results.

The standard competition rules apply:
• The competition subject shall be selected by the winner of the preceding competition who will also judge the competition.
• The period of the competition shall be 14 days: from Monday 11 February until Midnight on Sunday 24th February 2013.
• One picture per person; images should conform to general image posting rules.
• Please use a Canon DSLR.
• Posted images should be taken during the running period of the competition. Any images submitted that were taken before the competition started, or after the competition has ended, will be deemed invalid.
• Images 800 pixels widest max (to help those with small monitors).
• No Photoshop frames and borders.
• Include a title; the image must convey the theme without title description.
• Please, no comments, on images until the round is over.
• No canvassing e.g. “I’m thinking of posting this image for the challenge, what do you think?”
• The guest ‘judge’ will pick 1st 2nd and 3rd favourite images (please don’t PM them to discuss their choices).

A short while back Robert Plant and Alison Krauss had that terrific Grammy-winning album "Raisin g Sand" ..... or was it "Raising Sand"...... Not very good at spelling.....

Oh DianaS, you beat me; I set out on Monday to get a Wall picture before I saw yours, but what I captured wasn't anywhere near as good. Luckily there was a great sunset on the way home and I spotted this, the Thames through some railings, for another great 70s album: Parallel Lines by Blondie.

Oh Alex, I am sorry!! I just love that brick barn wall, and it happened to have some sun on it one day!! Like yours too

Thanks to everyone who entered, some very different stuff here, great!

I liked all of them, for different reasons, but here are my top three:


3rd: Rubber Sole by Bridget. Brilliant idea, well thought up!


2nd: Raising Sand by Chris J - loved the humour in this one!


1st: The Flower that Shattered the Stone by Pelliott1954 - loved this one, the clarity of the rose is just beautiful, and a great interpretation of the album title.

Well done also to all who entered Pic's for Judging.

I have to say that I feel very sorry for Elaine that so few people entered this particular Challenge, which I thought offered plenty of scope for Photographs.

I will post the next Challenge shortly.
