Nissin Flashgun-Speedlite Di866 Pro

Opinions please and are there 2 types/models of the Di866 as reviews refer to a MK11 and a professional. It's half the price of the Canon 580 but on a par with a 430 and from all I've read it's better than both and fully Canon compatible so what would you recommend fo a 7D

These Di866 flash units tend to overheat and burn out tubes quite quickly, I would give them a miss and buy the
YONGNUO Speedlite E-TTL TTL YN565EX Flash. they retail just over £100.

It looks really good, someone on here got one a couple of weeks ago.
I think it hasnay got HSS, if you don't want HSS then it looks absolutley ideal.
As it's quite new, there's not enough data to comment on reliability.

Yes it is a good buy Trev when you consider the price, just think you can have three or four of these for the price of the canon model.
It makes me wonder why Top manufacturers charge the high prices when third party companies can sell almost identical items for a more realistic lower price, I know quality plays a big part though even the top brands have their fair share of faulty goods.

Thank you, just watched a review on You Tube and it ticks all the buttons !! Reliabilty, well as Trev' said not enough data but at £100 why not and I'm not going to give it heavy use.
