Just a warning to those who use the Dartford Crossing (QEII) bridge. The 50mph average speed cameras will be activated from June 28th according to Kentpolice Twitter tweet

The chance to do 50 would be good. I was there on Friday and it took forever to cross the bridge.

Friday's are always a nightmare, I work at the Karting track at Lakeside and it's taken me hours to get back to Dagenham before now because of the M25 traffic. It's about time they got rid of the tolls, bloody crossing has paid for it's self 3 times over by now

Mersey tunnels must have paid for themselves Over and over and over again...then probably paid for lots of other things too...one was opened in 1934, the other in 1971...but we are still paying the tolls...in fact...they went up a couple of months ago yet again!
