Since moving to the Lake District from Inverness, Scotland 3 and a half years ago all I've seen is rain. I can't remember what a blue sky looks like. And people think Scotland has bad weather!

Since moving to the Lake District from Inverness, Scotland 3 and a half years ago all I've seen is rain.

The Lake District may be one of the prettiest places in Britain but it is also one of the wettest.

I think Devon run it a close second, rained every day of my 2 weeks holiday. never mind better luck next time.

Near Capel Curig (North Wales) claims to be wettest place in Britain and Seathwaite (Borrowdale) claims to be wettest place in England. I've visited both these in the last few weeks and there weren't too wet. But the rain shouldn't prevent you taking piccies ... in fact it can add something to scenes.
