            Wouldn't have been surprised if it was true as its the type of thing that always seems to happen to me, buy something and before I get out of the store the price drops.

              On the subject of SD cards, I washed one of my 8Gb cards the other day in my jeans pocket.

              After air-drying and leaving in a sealed bag of microwave-warmed (and then cooled) uncooked rice overnight it worked fine!

                My understanding is that it is not video that wrings out the speed of the card. High frame rate multiple shot is going to shift a lot more data, aspecially on the 7D and 1 series.
