Take a RAW shot of a landscape & include a blue sky and some greenery.
Open in DPP and then CTRL-T to open the Tool Palette. Go to Picture Styles & scroll through the options watching the changes - now you can see the differences. Whether they are 'significant' is a matter of personal choice & remember you can change the parameters of each style to suit.
Personally I find the Standard setting produces oversaturated reds & prefer Neutral with the settings Sharpness + 3, Contrast +1, Saturation +1, Colour Tone 0. All very subjective.Bob

As Bobowen says, shoot RAW and then check the effect of each style in DPP to assess the impact!
I tend to forgo the style settings (apart from Mono) and selectively adjust the contrast curve in DPP manually to achieve the result I desire on a frame by frame basisSteve's kit - Canon 6D/EG-D/BG-E13/60D/EF-D/BG-E9/600 EX-RT/17-40L/24-105L/40/100L/70-200L/70-300/2x iii/Sigma 8-16/Yongnuo YN-568EX (x2)/YN560EX II/YN622C-TX/YN622C (x4)
