    Camera Shops in London

    Morning All,

Anyone know of any shops near Paddington? Provided I make my connection I will be in Paddington briefly tomorrow morning and could get a later train home to fit in lunch, a pint and a quick mooch. I do mean by Paddington though, I'm not traipsing up Oxford Street to Calumnets on a Saturday.

    Cheers

BTW you can get a Tube from Paddington to Euston to visit Calumet. Other than that I really can't think of anything that's all that close I'm afraid.

Too much London Pride before you visit a camera shop and you'll find yourself with a Leica M9 or the Sony RX1-R when you get on the train home.

I'd love an M9! I'm sure the RX1 is great too but I don't think it warrants the price tag. Could possibly say the same about the Leica. Now as for the X100S... but this is a Canon forum so lets stop it there. There was a Jessops in Bayswater were I bought my Lowepro bag. Don't think it's worth the walk though.

I have just been to London Camera Exchange on the Strand (Bakerloo line to Charing Cross and other end of the Strand on the south side). They were cheaper for a 70-300L than Wex, and extremely pleasant and helpful. I cannot praise them enough! I would google whether they have a store near Paddington.

Don't bother trying - it's gone now. The only Jessops left in London is in Oxford Street, near Tottenham Court Road.
I'm the first to rush to help people, yet it's not okay to respond to a misinformed remark. You don't deserve my custom, patronage or help, so taking it elsewhere.
