About 2 years ago I started getting coloured streaks down the right side of my prints when using my Pixma ip4000, Canon help desk suggested head cleaning and using different weights of paper none of that worked I used loads of ink in the process I even tried different makes of paper also head alignment all to no avail then I made a discovery it only happened on photo paper it printed perfectly on plain paper and printable discs, I then bought a new printer a Canon 4850 but I preferred the 4000 because I could have different sizes of photo paper in the machine ie A4 and 6x4 which is not possible with the 4850, I still use the 4000 for plain paper and disc printing but if any member has had a similar problem or a solution I would love to hear it.
