        I'd like to have seen an explanation as to the criteria they've used to determine what is acceptable as "the best and crispest possible picture"...

        Are they talking about standing 6 inches way from a 20x16 photo and "pixel-peeping" or 4-5 feet away, like you would in a gallery, for example.

        Although it's a useful guide, I just think this kind of thing as very subjective.

          I totally agree with you and this has to be taken only as a rough guide and where you are going to use your final printed version.
