Has anyone heard of (or are using) LensTag? It sounds like a great idea, log all your equipment on a central database which can be used to check whether stolen, however it's only usable if adopted by a significant number of people. The fact that it's free should help adoption

If memory serves me right don't Canon offer something similar.
