    A Saltwick Bay sunset? ....

So, the plan was to meet up with Paul at Saltwick Bay, with the intention of taking some nice sunset photos. I'd checked the tide times and we were good to go on that front. I'd also checked the weather with the BBC Android weather app and that looked promising too. BBC app ... you disappoint me!

Andy I live in a small village called Rishworth in the heart of the Pennines near Halifax West Yorks I find the BBC site very rarely gets the weather right for the most part not even close, the forecast for Tuesday was cloudy with outbreaks of heavy showers.... it was glorious sunshine all day yesterdays forecast was very heavy rain and chance of thunder, it was fine for the most part cloudy and light showers I never have any confidence in the forecasts at all

    Kind Regards
    Gordon

Andy, I find this site much more reliable.

14 day weather forecast for United Kingdom and the world. Over 200.000 cities and places. Including weather by the hour.

Judging by the video it looks like you will have to carefully dry the camera kit out. I would probably turned the car round and gone home without getting my camera out. I'm pleased you both got to see the potential of the venue👍

I'm actually very pleased with the weather conditions as they were, it made for some nice moody shots. I'd certainly visit again in the same conditions. :-)

It was an app called 'Tide Prediction' https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...oid.tide&hl=en

Give me a shout if you plan to go again sometime.

                  Bill, thanks for the link
