    Camera Storage

I came across 2 5D MK11 gripped in a camera bag unused or touched for 18 months, owner-a pro-passed away. Batteries dead and could not find charger, are they likely to be any good ?? Bodies show no signs of heavy ware and family want to keep, I've said sell and keep the "L' lenses as the camera body values will continue to fall, if they keep any advice on how to store please.

See of the batteries charge in your charger.

    Storage?
Unless the family are going to use the camera gear then it would be best to sell it at a good price (IMHO).
Keeping for sentimental reasons just devalues the cameras.

Clean the gear (cameras and lenses)
Keep in a dry dark place preferably in the original case/box.
Use those silica gel crystals or a bag of rice to prevent any damp and place in case/box.
Wrap boxes in bubble wrap for additional protection.
Place boxes in another box and a few extra silica gel crystals or a bag of rice.

Sell the gear to me cheap ........
