    Spyder lens cal.

Now then ladies and gentlemen, I thought I would enquire if anyone has one of these little gadgets, for doing the micro focus adjustment.

That's because I think I need one. If anybody does have one, and would be willing to 'lend it' to me for a day or two, I would be most grateful.

A brown envelope would be winging its way to you. (in other words I would be willing to slide some cash your way !!) I can pay the postage both ways too.

Getting really soft shots with my 2x TC coupled up to the 70-200. I have tried doing the mfa myself with a 12 inch ruler offset to the tripod mounted camera.. but the more I do with it the worse it seems to be getting, so I reset it back to zero.

Just thought I'd ask, if not seems like I will have to buy one. As they say... no harm in asking ...

Can't help as i don't have the gadget you need, though i do use Focal software to help the focus adjustment,
If you don't want to buy just look at your images are they a little sharper at the front or behind your targeted subject.
Try -10 on a static subject then +10 you should be able to see a difference no need to go up in ones and two's as its virtually impossible to spot the difference.Hope this might help a little!

Ok Paul cheers anyway. Right I tried it on minus 10 and then 0 and then plus 10 . Agsolutely no difference, so I bit the bullet and tried it on very single setting between minus 20 to plus 20, again no difference in any shot, all soft.

I think maybe I will give Lehmann's at Stoke a bell, and see what they reckon.

I'm afraid the link above just directs you to a variety of advertising sites.

However this one seems to work and carries a useful article on how to check for AF problems: http://photographylife.com/how-to-qu...tofocus-issues
