    Which way round?

The sensor has now been cleaned on my 1100D so I now have full use again of it, plus my new 700D.

Now when Im out and about my plan is to have a lens on each - when the wife doesnt want to use any of them that is - the EF 24-105mm F4L IS USM lens and the EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM, being the primary choice lenses and then any swapping will be for just the prime 50mm or the 18-55 if I really need them, however my question to everyone is which way round would you use them and why?

Am I over thinking / over complicating this or is there a difference?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Re: Which way round?

I would use the 24-105mm lens on your 700D being the most current technology and the 70-300mm lens on the 1100. It is a good idea to have to camera bodies with two different lenses on each. I used to do this at one time but then the weight problem got to me. I am sure the other members will have their own views on this. Good luck.

Really I guess it depends on what you want to shoot most of the time. As the 700 is the better body I'd put the lens you use the most on it. Weight isn't an issue as you are carrying 2 bodies and 2 lenses anyway.

Thanks Nat - thats the way round I was thinking but then i kept getting it in my mind, would it be better having the better lens on the 1100d for better quality picture on that and the 70-300 on the 700d because extra pixels might let me "zoom"/crop in that bit closer - extra iso if needed ... LOL but then I was thinking, does it actually make a difference?

Wayne - yes weight isnt a problem and thinking it through you are right and i will see what lens i start using the most - at the moment its the 24-105mm as i walk around a lot, but I know ive missed a few good pictures of birds / other wildlife that if i was quicker at changing my lens...or now as i have a second body i would have jumped at trying to take. I suppose as well if i want continuous shooting for something then the 700d would take preference now and i may have change the lens occassionally.

        Thanks both.
