    oops and Yea

As a few of you know I sold my 300 2.8 mkII last year and regretted it the second the guy drove off and have been saving for a replacement ever since, had a large chunk saved so just thought we would pop into WEX today for a drool - well they had a discount day which I knew nothing about and were offering a further 6% off - that's £294 extra off the price. . . . .

Would have been rude not to really, so I'm totally skint with a little left on the card to pay BUT I am a very happy lad! hopefully get out to fire off a few test shots tomorrow.

Damn you WEX and your terrific friendly service and discount days lol

Very hard to resist a bargain. I bet you almost saved enough to buy a second lens!!! (Isn't that how it works?)

Didn't really get enough time this morning for a decent test but had to try and get something, not quite the obligartry 'duck' shot that you have to get with a new lens but close lol Yep I'm happy with it so far

Keeping focus past a 'busy' background - check

Bee from 3 meters away - check

Water drop from a goose with lovely water background - check

Close up of above shot to see how steady a hand I have - check

Spotted by a lone coot mid clean - check

Roll on next weekend for a more serious workout
