Please - Does anyone here know of how the PGI-29 cartridges (for Canon Pixma Pro 1 printer) can be refilled and the chip reset and if so where can I obtain a resetting tool and a supply of the correct pigment/inks?

While I can't answer the question you could do worse than ask Refresh Cartridges <here> as they seem to be among the leaders in the business. Nice guys too and only just down the road from me. No personal connection with them other than as a satisfied customer.
