Sky plus new photo app

Has anybody tried sky plus new app you can view your photos from any phone, tablet with one touch straight onto a tv ,just been have a play and it's good to see your photos on a big screen. I was quite surprised at the detail considering I'd saved them from flickr to my phone, it's a good little app and it costs nothing well worth a play.

not tried that Dave, I'll have to have a look - I've been plugging my laptop into my TV with hdmi leads but its a PIA having to plug everything up

Hi it's very simple once you have download the app and signed in to sky.your phone/tablet detects your Sky box then your up and running click the photo icon this opens your library .one click and your photo appears on screen .you can also manage your tv schedule. Couldn't download it to my laptop though which would be handy.

being able to put that app onto a macbook would be really cool - I'd pay for that feature

I doubt it will Ian due to our ip addresses. However, an Apple TV with air play will work from an iPhone or a Mac and no app needed as already built in.

Thought that would be the case - I did consider Apple TV, just didn't want to pay out £80 for one

I have had the sky + app on my phone for a while now , it recognises the sky box but no photo icon on the navigation bar

Perhaps i have to wait for sky to update the box

if you check out the link I posted Stan it details the boxes it works with ... is this ANOTHER ploy from Sky to get people to upgrade boxes

thats what I did and my box is OK but it does mention that the box updates are being rolled out during the year, so maybe mine has not been updated yet

Wonder if there is any way to check on the box for the version update

sure there will be Stan but thats my wifes domain and shes don't her best snap her CC right now shopping in London

Stan I opened my planner which then prompted me to access the photo app that now appears at the top of the home page ,might he worth a try

I bought AppleTV in the end ....now just need someone to share there Netflick account details
