    Canon CPS. An apalling service.

Is anyone else having trouble with the abomination called Canon CPS? Yes, I know this happens every year, and yes I know that Canon couldn't really give a hoot about it.

My membershipo, like everyone else's expires at the end of the year, so being a good little girl I tried to renew. When I log into my account I see a little drop down box telling me that my membership is about to expire. It gives me a box to tick if I would like to renew. Excellent, so far. I tick the box, a little wheel whirrs around and then.....I see a little drop down box telling me that my membership is about to expire. It gives me a box to tick if I would like to renew.

And so it goes on, and on, and on, and on endlessly. Every year there are stories about how bad the renewal system is. Last year things became so bad that Canon renewed everything automatically. Membership cards are a thing of the past too.

Has anyone had any success in dealing with this terrible, terrible service that Canon dish out?

Thanks Nat. Maybe a good idea.

It's still on its circulatory mode. Both of us are on Gold so we're not exactly valueless customers to them. You would almost think they don't want to make the service available!

Try using a different browser to do it. You'll be amazed at the problems people have with compatibility between browsers for sites. For instance, Exchange Management console, a whole javascripted site does not work well on Chrome and works perfectly on IE. Citrix doesn't work on Chrome either. It's not beyond reasonable doubt that other interactive services will work better on different browsers :)

We are on Firefox. It has now finally accepted our renewals.

Rumour has it that this is run on the same server that gives all the problems uploading from Flickr. Anyone know if this is true?
