extension cord for RS-80 N3 remote

Have been trying to look for an extension for my canon shutter release, only one's I've seen cost quite alot but have seen the N3 cable connector for sale in the eos shop for alot less - is that actually an extension or something else.

plus while your here - is the eclipse fluid with the micro fiber swabs a really good way to clean the sensor - I only have the blower at the moment.

    Cheers paul

Paul, I have the N3 remote, but for greater distance I use the RC-6 infra-red remote control. Much more convenient than an extension cable.

look for radio rather than IR, much greater distance and you don't need line of sight

What Stan says is right, but it depends on your budget for this.

£15 for the IR remote, and £50 for the radio unit, albeit the one that Stan linked to, is a reasonable price for an RF remote release.

Don't forget the Yongonu RF603's (and the earlier cheaper 602's IIRC) will do this as well as trigger your flashes and they are only about £20 a pair for radio remotes.
