Was by the Albert Memorial in London a couple of days ago when a coach arrived with a party of older teen/young adult Japanese tourists. All 27 went to the Memorial and started taking photos, but everyone used a phone - not a camera in sight. A few years ago I'm sure they would all have used compacts or SLRs -and from Japan they would have been using good gear.
And, 8 of them were using selfie-sticks.
Interesting snippet in one of the photo mags a while ago - someone showed his grandchild a "real" camera and it wasn't recognised for what it was - cameras are phones these days. Or vice versa.
Cheers, Chris.
