    Re: What should I do?

having been out with you nat ,i tend to think that a lot of it is down to your spray and pray technique rather than anticipating the shot and waiting for the moment to happen ,even i tend to do it sometimes taking a burst of shots then run out of buffer at the crucial moment ,patience and stealth and spotting the moment have to be learned .rather than taking a thousand shots and hoping ones the right one

Thanks Ant and Jeff. Accept all your good comments. Perhaps I think it also boils down to a bit of my "lack of confidence" in trying to crop too much. Will look at some of my recent wildlife pics taken with my 6D and see how far I can crop. Yes, Ant I note that your recent pics and crops show excellent image quality- all taken with your Sigma.

        Re: What should I do?

In the past I've posted images of the kestrel nesting. Some of the first couple of years were taken with my 60D and Tamron 70-300 and most of these are quite reasonable crops. So your 6D with a reasonable start image should stand some cropping.
