    EOS HD Books

    I read the promo for ESO HDbook yesterday and was interested to check the site out for printing costs of the book but couldn't see any figures displayed. Has anyone used this service ?

    In the past I've always used http://www.blurb.com/ and have been very impressed with quality and cost so was interested to compare, I couldn't see details

    Blurb are good and have tried a few others but in my experience, apart from Blurb, you can't bear Albelli which we have used for the past 5 years at least. Can't see me even bothering to give EOS a shot if they can't be upfront about the pricing.

      agree Stan, Blurb offer a stunning service and I was interested to see how prices compared, very odd to not offer some idea of costs, all the others do

              wow at those prices I hope it is something special

              The A4 appears to start off at £59.99 for a 24 page book. Albelli, whom I use is £24.95 !!. To be fair, the EOS includes photo cover, glossy pages and lay flat and if you factor those into the Albelli price, it rises to £40 - still two thirds of the cost....no I wont be changing

                I did think it seemed top heavy looking at how much I paid Blurd last time and I couldn't ask for better quality

                  I certainly am no expert , and I have only had one book made , and have had a fair few enlargements made at PhotoBox and have been happy with them . I think from what I have seen the canon books do look something special , one YouTube video I watched , claimed the books would keep well for 300 years . I am guessing compared to most a side by side comparison the Canon books would have an edge , I recon it`s that old saying " You get what you pay for " .

                    They had some of these on display at the Photo Funday back in June and the quality of the printing was excellent. Whether they are that much better than the others on the market is harder to say as there wasn't anything to compare them with.

                      We've just had two books produced one from Our normal producer and one from Cannon HD. Wow the print quality is amazing turn round time was 3 working days. It is in my opinion a high end product and you pay for what you get.

                        Hi Martyn; could you say who is your 'normal producer' and what size book did you order please? So far I have used Blurb with much success, but they are not a 'premium' vendor by ang means...
                        Cheers;

                            We normally use loxley. their lay flat coffee book which we have used is £79. we didn't do a lay flat this time with them but one of their current special offers which worked out at £30 where as our HD one came out at £85 for the same A4 size.
