Bummer... But... You've got a pool?! Damn... I'd have a permanent smile... Even with the postponed holiday, your life sounds way better than mine! Chin up, poor drink, enjoy pool, buy new camera and plan the next holiday ☺ hope your wife feels better soon

yeah we have pool 9x5 and its a nice 32 right now, but like most things in life you get used to it and want something a little more exciting, like an old medieval castle and I had them lined up back to back - but I suppose they are not going away :) and you never know I may well have my Mk IV by then

Damn it mate. Really sorry about wife's fall, it not nice and I bet she's feeling as gutted as you are.

There will be other trips for sure.

As for the 5D4, I'm not that excited about it either. Not much of an upgrade in my opion. Still, perhaps the price of new 5D3's will drop like a stone!

                          Re: bugger bugger bugger

Thanks Alan - we should be able to do this trip March next year as thats when the weather breaks - just may have to find another couple of locations around Nov - I've found a dream location in Portugal and we get get cheap flights for 30e's so may head out for a long weekend

If the Mkiv dynamic range is better along with being able to use all of the standard ISO I'll be happy, but until the test images come out the money is staying in the bank

Your 5D3 don't seem to do too badly with the ISO you've already got!

I get frustrated as I'm often hitting 10-12k and would like to go higher, but for me thats its limit as it normally involves a lot of shadows
