    white balance questions

If I'm shooting in RAW and my wb is set to auto, does it really matter?

The point I'm querying is that you can adjust the wb of raw files while post processing, so is it only critically important to get it spot on in-camera if your not doing any post work?

I'm also asking because ive been looking at some wb products for sale such as expo filters, grey cards etc but don't really see the point?

    Thanks as always,

    Nick

    Re: white balance questions

If you are shooting in RAW, AWB is good for 90% of the time and what it doesn't get right, you can alter post processing.

As a matter of good practice, I do set on flash if I am using it as my main light and tungsten if I am shooting twilight scenes that are part floodlit.
