    Insurance?

I am in the process of getting together a new kit... inc my 7D... So, it is time to get some insurance :)

I have looked at the scheme on offer via the magazine, and the premiums look good, I am also going to enquire with my home policy...

Who do you recommend? Any advice would be appreciated

    Re: Insurance?

Mine is always on my household policy. When I loan kit, I just tell my insurance company ... and they don't normally charge ... even when I had the 1D4 to 8days.

But I do review this every year ... using those pesky merkats or moneysupermarket etc. But EOS Magazines prices and conditions aren't bad and I factor in when doing the maths.

Ditto I have my kit on the houshold insurance as it works out cheaper and easier to set up than the deadicated camera insuerance companies

Only problem with house insurance is that if you do any professional work - it's not covered.

That's true, but if your doing it professionally would you not have you equipment covered with your business insurance anyway.

Depends on what sort of business you are doing. A sole trader may not have business insurance as such but should have PI and PL insurance - I'm thinking about getting that as so far I've resisted.

When you have a lot of kit it gets pretty expensive. I recon it'll be about £500 for me this year.
