I have a couple of Tamron ones. Way better design than the Canon ones. Ebay should be fine.

Thanks for replys, Tamron appear to be the best ones from what I've read but expensive, about £9 on Amazon for genuine. Also found a used Tamron both side and center pinch, is that what you have Jim ? Ebay, well cheap after market can be a bit iffi' I've read.

              Re: Center Pinch Lens Caps

My 17-50 is 67mm and that is a centre pinch cap.

I agree, much better than the Canon caps. The rear caps, which only fit one way, are another story.

LOL Woolley, that Tamrom rear cap is something else !
I Dunno what they were thinking when they made those.
I have stored the one from my 17-50 with the lens box and manual, and replaced it with a canon one.

You can fit the Tamron ones on Canon lenses but I too replaced mine.

                    Re: Center Pinch Lens Caps

They arrived today both are side and center pinch genuine Tamron, 58mm s/h £6, 67mm new £9 and yes far better than Canon. A good tight fit, they don't touch the filter and so easy to remove with a lens hood on. Yes they cost more than after market Ebay BUT they fit. Why Canon can't manufacture and supply as origiinal ???????????????

I can't for the life of me think why Canon don't go along this line. Everyone complains about the lens caps they provide. Wake up Canon, pander to your customers needs.
