    Brian’s comment reminds me, my last film camera was a Minolta and I’m also fairly certain it was a Dynax and auto focus as I retained the lenses when I went digital. By that time Sony had bought Minolta so the lenses still fitted and worked fine with the new digital camera. I’ve still got the Dynax somewhere (and the lenses). I have no idea if you could adjust focus though, it wouldn’t have occurred to me at the time that was even possible; I’ll dig it out at sometime and check (it may be a while though as I have no idea where it is!).

      I was being a bit flippant with my comment about micro-adjusting focus with film cameras as it would have been impractical having to process the film to see the results! However the focus on the majority of lenses back then worked very well. My 500mm f/4L IS lens was pin sharp even with a 1.4 converter. I think it can be too easy to get caught up with the technicalities.
