    Which colour?

    Have been trying some still life in the light box, which colour suits this oak cluster best?

    I think it's very much a personal choice,. Out of the three images you've put up I prefer the first one. I think I may have turned the twig so the acorn was in a upright position.

      I also like the the first one but try a blue background (as the complimentary colour to Orange).

              No 1 or 3... No.1 is a neutral colour so doesn't dominate or compete with the leaf. In 3 the background is in harmony with the leaf although a lighter shade might be better. The green in 2 is a bit intense and while it does make the leaf stand out it's also competing with it - maybe a lighter and less 'emerald' shade would be nice...

                My initial choice would be pic 1 as that has the most contrast and visual impact. However a further consideration makes me inclined to pic 2 which for me shows the colour and texture of the leaves.
