    Christmas Presents

C'mon then ............... what did you get?

I'll start the ball rolling - I got the same as last year - socks! Someone said a man can't have enough socks - it must have been a woman, coz I have loads.

May have to buy myself something when the shops open.

My wife got me an awesome chair for the office as I spend a lot of time on the PC processing etc when the racing season is on - it's the Moto GP racing seat and we are talking serious comfort.

That someone was me. I put a deposit down on one in October and might see it in March.

The camera bits I got I was really pleased with a battery pack for my 580EXII, a timer shutter remote and 2 40cm soft boxes for my flashes. The thing I didn't want was the rotten cold that my wife gave me.

Hope everyone else got what they wanted.

hope you're all enjoying the holiday.

Photography wise I got a circular polariser for my 15-85.

Other than that I mainly received books; Dawkin's The Blind Watchmaker, Gould's Wonderful Life and one that might give me some new places to maybe take a picture, The Field Archaeology of Dartmoor. Should all keep me quiet for a while.

No socks but gloves instead - but not ordinary gloves - I got shooting gloves. Great for outdoor sport and other outdoor shooting - guns or cameras!

Thanks to the fact that my birthday is in December and I have a wonderful wife I was taken to the local camera shop (Park Cameras in Burgess Hill) and left to my devices. Came home with a used Sigma 50-500 lens that might as well be new as it is perfect in every way. I've used it a couple of times so far and I'm amazed at the result I'm getting even hand held (and it is a non 'is' version). Build quality is truly fantastic, proper Japanese engineering.
