First a small bit of interest is that I have a photo apprearing on tele - well it is, but not featuring My father rents his house out as a location for photoshoots and this one shows my picture of my daughters wedding with my parents - for those hard of sight - it is the one on the sideboard

Second and more important to me is that I have been invited as official photographer to the Dickens Festival from 6th-11th Feb. This was from the last set of photos - my artistic interpretation was what won the invite.

A month to go and I am already starting to plan it

There is a big difference between experimenting (which are most of the images I show here) and the serious stuff where the focus is on high volume, high IQ reportage images rather than artistic one offs.

I will be doing a venue inspection next week to detirmine the bodies/lens. The bad news is that there is no flash during the show, the good news is that I will be taking pictures out of the show with flash as well.

I am tempted to get a 16-35 f/2.8 and a 24-70 f/2.8 to go with my 70-200 f/2.8 and 50 1.4. Any other suggestions? (I might take the 135/f2.0 for portraits in the bag)

The 1DX announcement has brought down the used price of the 1Ds3 - so I have bought one with low actuations.

I will be keeping the 1D4, 1Ds3 and the 5DII - so just need to sell the 7Ds now
