    Equipment Insurance

Camera insurance - you all have it right!

For those of you that don't or 'haven't gotten around to it yet' - I have just updated mine through my home contents insurance for an extra £80 a year, not a lot when you consider all our gear together is in excess of 10k to replace, if you do it this way make sure you state that you want cover in case your mugged i.e. someone comes up to you and demands your camera / rucksack you can either refuse and hope they don't have a knife or such like or just hand it over, report it to get an incident number and get yourself replacement kit - I know which I would prefer.

Now stop putting it off and just DO IT !!!

Hi David, An extra £80 on your household insurance premium sounds good.
Did you tell your insurer your webiste offers images for sale ?

They'd class that as professional use, regardless of how many you sold.

I use photoguard, the premiums are quite reasonable.

Anyway - all that aside - guys if you haven't got cover please look into it, with 'times' as they are can you afford not to have your gear covered?
