1st attempt at light trails!

Hi everyone,
After reading in a magazine about the technique of recording light trails i thought id give it a go. Straight out of the camera> What do you think?

You've done very well. Isn't it great when some drivers indicate? If you're very lucky, sometimes you can get some blue flashing lights.

One thought that they don't mention in the magazines - next time, try a little earlier when there is still a tiny bit of light left in the sky. After the sun has gone down and up to about 20 minutes later will still give you some dark indigo blue in the sky, without diminishing the light trails.

You have done well, I particularly like #1 where the light trails bend around the roundabout and then come back together again a kind of symmetry.
This is something that I have never tried and must put on my "to do" list.
I am also interested in Colin's comment about the indicators, that is something I did not realise until now.
Very interesting.

Really like the symetry of #1. As colin says....try again jist as the sun goes down....you will be surprised the difference it makes

Great result for a first time (or any other time for that matter!).

I especially like where the headlights / tail-lights start and stop in the shot with no vehicle to be seen at all! Brilliant!

Thank you for your kind words! My next attempt will be just after sunset! May have trouble capturing some blue lights but i do agree it would be a nice touch!
