Image size to post

I cannot see any details of image size required for uploading direct from my computer.
I assume they must be JPEG?
300dpi?
dimensions in px?
file size?
watermarks? I have seen some with watermarks I believe.
can someone advise me please.

I always upload from my phone or tablet after editing on my laptop and always been JPEG and I think 5mb is the max file size. And I always have watermarks on mine.

I believe the best way is to use a third party link. Alot use Flikr and share the link on the post. I'm not sure how that works as I don't use it myself so hopefully somebody else can advise
